Ani played soccer from the 2nd grade through the 1st year of college, and played 3 years of high school softball. She occasionally cycles and dabbled in Capoeira before joining derby in 2007.

Ani has been an advocate for women's rights and ending violence against women for 10 years. She co-founded and implemented "Cycle for Change" - a 4,300 mile bicycle ride across the country to raise money and awareness for sexual and domestic violence programs, raising close to 10k for the DC Rape Crisis Center. Ani also participated in two Washington DC AIDS rides before moving to NYC.  Currently works for a victims services agency, and earned an MSW from the Hunter College School of Social Work in 2007.  Ani Is currently the league's Sponsorship Chair, working tirelessly to raise money for the league and to build relationships with our treasured sponsors.
