During a period of her life when risk taking was looking particularly attractive, Greta Turbo joined GGRD with no previous skating experience and broke her tailbone at her second practice. She remembers lying on the wood floor at Skate Key listening to "White Christmas" as sung by Clyde McPhatter and the Drifters. Five seasons, two custom hats, three championship bearings courtesy of her fellow Queens, and one very long piece of titanium in her left tibia later, "GT" as her teammates call her, remains. True to her namesake, she works with motion pictures, haunts farmers' markets, and tends to avoid cameras.
