Jensurgency has tried her hand at many different athletic activities. When she was in the fifth grade her best friend's older brother gave her a skateboard. This began a love-hate relationship with skateboarding that lasted more than 10 years. Skateboarding also sparked an interest in snowboarding and skiing. She sporadically participated in other sports activities like volleyball, rowing and rock climbing but nothing stuck. She enjoys summertime activities such as wiffle ball, bike riding, kickball, relay beer races, and capture the flag. But it wasn't until discovering roller derby that she became hooked on a team sport. Finally there was an excuse to be rough, dirty, aggressive and bruised!
