Athletic Background

Kakes has been a tomboy and an athlete since a kid. She grew up as her dad's son: climbed trees, fished, shot guns and rode bikes with the boys. Since youth she roller skated, did ballet, tap & jazz, gave that up for gymnastics, swam, dabbled in football, etc... Through middle school and high school she ran track, played volleyball and softball (until she slid into 3rd and broke her ankle) and did weight training. She takes a lot of pride in being strong, both mentally & physically.
