PittStop grew up in the dirty south and was involved in swimming her whole life and in varsity track and cross-country throughout high school. The back of her running spikes said, "Sorry if the dust hurts your eyes."

After high school, PittStop headed north to pursue a degree in Photography. She was thinking of changing her name to "Bikini Trampellini" but was talked out of it... several times. She still loves the name.
