Kat started skating with Westchester County, New York's Suburbia Roller Derby 2007 before it was a member of the WFTDA. However, she missed the competitive season due to pregnancy and the birth of little Rat-A-Tat Kitten in April 2008. Growing up, Kat played many sports. Most notably, she was a competitive horseback rider from early childhood through college, and was the goalie of a state champion field hockey team in high school. Getting thrown into jumps and being nailed with big wooden sticks prepared Kat well for the clobbering of roller derby.

Kat has lived in San Francisco, New York City, and Washington, DC, multiple times each. She collects Polish circus and film posters from the 1960s and 70's. She has several platinum record awards for her work in the music biz, earned an MBA degree from a fancy shmancy Ivy-league school and has a terrible weakness for sugar cereals.
